Journey along the quiet backwaters and lagoons of Kerala onboard a traditional houseboat walk around the sleepy yet lively villages. Visit the fascinating old spice town and Chinese fishing nets of Cochin. Leave behind the city life for the coast and its wildlife sanctuaries at Periyar and Kottayam. Walk amongst the hills carpeted with tea plantations, grassland and verdant forest, truly a paradise and a walker’s delight. We finish on the sweeping beaches of Kovalam with the chance to relax, and enjoy the delicious fresh seafood.
Itinerary

Day 01 Trivandrum - Thrikunpuzha
Your tour starts with your arrival in Trivandrum followed by a drive to the beautiful Coir Village Resort at Thrikunpuzha. In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise along the canals in traditional fishing boat.

Day 02 Thrikunpuzha
In the morning a leisurely walk around the Coir Village and its surroundings. In the afternoon board the houseboat for your overnight backwater cruise to Alleppey.

Day 03 Alleppey – Cochin
The laid back and exciting houseboat cruise comes to an end at Alleppey from where you drive to Cochin. In the evening a optional visit to experience the traditional folk dance; Kathakali.

Day 04 Cochin
The day starts with a motorboat ride around Cochin harbor, where you will also visit the Jewish Synagogue & town, Dutch Palace, St Francis Church. Spend the afternoon at the Chinese fishing net where you can buy the sea food of your choice from the local vendors and get it cooked at the local restaurants along the beach.

Day 05 Cochin – Munnar
A pleasant drive across the Western Ghats will bring you to Munnar; the home to a major part of India’s tea plantation. Spend the evening watching the sunset over the hills and sipping hot tea at the Sunset Point.

Day 06 Munnar
The day begins with a leisurely walk with a gradual uphill accent through tea plantations to Anamudi Peak.

Day 07 Munnar – Periyar
Drive through the beautiful hills of Munnar to Periyar wildlife sanctuary, home to many a wild animals like elephants, Indian bison and if one is lucky could catch a glimpse of the tiger.

Day 08 Periyar
An morning walking tour of the wildlife sanctuary followed by a motorboat cruise on Periyar Lake.

Day 09 Periyar – Kumarakom
Precede to Kumarakom en-route visit the Kottayam Bird Sanctuary.

Day 10 Kumarakom – Kovalam
Leaving behind the hills and wilderness arrive to the tropical beaches of Kovalam.

Day 11 Kovalam
Free to relax at the beach and or opt for an optional visit to Kanyakumari – the southernmost tip of India.

Day 12 Kovalam – Trivandrum – Home
Free till departure transfer to Trivandrum International Airport for your homebound flight.
