Trip Profile
The trek starts from Nagger Village, famous for its impressive castle and the Nicholas Roerich art gallery. The trek includes two different valley systems and the 3,660m Chanderkhani Pass where you can enjoy panoramic views of Lahaul, Kinnaur and Spiti. The village of Malana is especially interesting. The inhabitants here speak their own language and are believed to be the descendents of the lost armies of Alexander the Great. The trek is generally moderate with a few steep ascends and descends and ends in the pilgrim town of Manikaran, known for its hot sulfur springs. From here you return to Delhi followed by a trip to Agra visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Delhi
The tour starts from Delhi where you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02 Delhi - Chandigarh
Drive from New Delhi to Chandigarh (250 kilometers). In the afternoon a half day of sightseeing of the city is planned.
Day 03 Chandigarh - Manali
Drive north to Manali - a beautiful hill station in the Kulu Valley. The valley offers lush green pine forests.
Day 04 Chandigarh - Manali
Sightseeing tour of Manali.
Day 05 Manali - Nagger -Ramsu
AAfter a short drive from Manali you reach Nagger. Situated on a wooded slope and commanding an extensive view of the valley, it is famous for its temples, ancient caste and the Roerich Art Gallery. A short trek from Manali will bring you to Rumsu.
Day 06 Ramsu - Chanderkhani
Today you will trek about 9 kilometers to Chanderkhani. The legend goes that Jamlu (Presiding deity of Malana) was carrying a basket containing gods of Kullu. On the top of the pass when she opened the basket, a strong wind blew the gods all over Kullu valley. Since then the valley is known as the valley of gods. A striking view of Deo Tibba overlooking the Malana glen and other snow crowned giants on the Spiti border can be seen.
Day 07 Chanderkhani - Malana
An 8 kilometer trek to reach Malana. Malana comprises two villages about a hundred yards apart situated almost 10,000 feet above sea level. It is completely cut off due to heavy snow from the rest of the state for six to eight months a year. Farming and sheep rearing are the main livelihoods.
Day 08 Malana - Rasol
Today you have a long trek of about 19 kilometers, but the breathtaking panoramic views that include views of the Pin Parvati range of mountains make it worthwhile.
Day 09 Rasol - Kasol
Compared to yesterday, todays walk is comparatively short - about 9 kilometers - bringing you to a charming camp site.
Day 10 Kasol - Manikaran
A 14 kilometer trek to Manikaran, a holy place for Hindus and Sikhs with temples and a Gurudwara - Sikh Temple. You can rest and relax by taking a bath in the hot sulphur springs.
Day 11 Manikaran - Kullu
A short drive of 45 kilometers will bring you to Kullu.
Day12 Kullu - Chandigarh
Drive to the foothills of the Himachal region, Chandigarh.
Day 13 Chandigarh - Delhi drive
This last leg of the road journey ends in New Delhi.
Day 14 Full day excursion to Agra visiting Taj Mahal
Today you have the choice to take a sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi, or a same day trip to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra or spend the day for individual exploration/relaxing.
Day 15 Delhi: Departure
Transfer to airport to board you flight home.
