Trip Profile
Arrive in Delhi and visit various attractions of the nation's capitol city. The following day you take an early morning flight to Bagdogra. A panoramic drive through dense forests, sprawling tea estates and picturesque villages from Bagdogra brings you to Darjeeling - the tea capital of India.

Explore this fascinating town visiting the famous Mountaineering Institute, Zoo, Tea Estates and the classic Narrow Gauge Railway.

The first phase of the trek will be along the spectacular Singalila Ridge, passing through the beautiful terraced hillsides and Oak, Rhododendron forests. The walk is at a leisurely pace to experience the local rural culture, abundant birdlife and spectacular views of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world including Everest and Kanchenjunga.

The second part of the trek passes through some thickly forested valleys to the alpine pastures at the base of Kanchenjunga. From your base camp in this area, you will visit the nearby lakes, glaciers and the 4,940m high Goecha La for some superb views of immense ice cliffs on the southeast face of Kanchenjunga.

You then descend to Yoksam and drive to Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, to visit some monasteries followed by your return to Delhi.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Delhi
The tour starts from Delhi where you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Depending on your flight arrival time, you may take a half or full day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi.

Day 02 Delhi-Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Take a morning flight to the eastern part of India. On arrival at Bagdogra a pleasant drive to Darjeeling.

Day 03 Darjeeling
A full day sightseeing in Darjeeling, the little town founded by two British officers (Dr. Campbell and Lieut. Napier) around 1839. After India’s independence, Darjeeling remained a part of West Bengal. In 1986 it became an independent state in the Indian Union.

Day 04 Darjeeling – Manybhanjang - Tanglu
A road trip to Manybhanjang from where a short trek brings you to Tanglu.

Day 05-09 Trekking Phase I (Singalila Ridge)
This phase of the trek will take you over the Singalila Ridge.

Day 10 Rimbik - Pemyangtse
The trek from Rimbik will bring you to the end of the first phase of the trek, at Pemyangtse where you will visit the Pemyangtse Monastery.

Day 11 Pemyangtse - Yuksum
Travel by car from Pemyangtse to Yuksum.

Day 12-18 Trekking Phase II:
The second part of the trek passes through thickly forested valleys to the alpine pastures at the base of Kanchenjunga. Day 19 Yuksum - Gangtok
Today you will be transported by car to Gangtok where on arrival you will check in at hotel.

Day 20 Gangtok – Delhi
Transfer to Gangtok airport for your flight to New Delhi.

Day 21 Delhi - Onward Destination
Transfer to the international airport to board your flight home.
